Ms. Stokes has been the librarian at GMS for twenty years. Before that she taught middle and high school in northeast Nebraska. During her free time, she loves to read (duh!), bake anything chocolate, read in her hammock, cook, read with a cup of tea by her side, travel, read books that have been made into movies and then watch those movies (and others). Spending time with her family, including Calvin, Sophie, Andy, Ajax, and Ziva is also very important to her. She’s trying to learn how to draw and hopes to visit Great Britain some time before she retires. She has a BS in Social Science, an endorsement in English, and a MA in Educational Media.
Mrs. Olson is now on year six as our GMS para after six years away. She has three daughters, all graduates of GHS. Alison just graduated from Methodist College and is pursuing a job in radiology. Amanda graduated from UNO after studying psychology. Alicia graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan and is working on a Masters in Speech Pathology. Mrs. Olson enjoys spending her free time watching any and all NCIS shows (Go Gibbs!), the TLC network, and HGTV. On most Sundays you will find her watching the San Diego Chargers which is the current team of her favorite Nebraska player, Danny Woodhead. She also enjoys pizza with a cold Diet Pepsi.
